HELL-o-ween comes but once a year and our Master loves any excuse to dress up and celebrate Halloween at HELL.
Our stores get a little ghoulish, our staff a little devilish, and HELL gets a little spooky on October 31.
Halloween was originally a Celtic festival called Samhain, the time of year between summer and winter when the Celts believed the boundary between the worlds of the living and dead became blurred. They believed ghosts of the dead returned to earth and wore costumes to ward off any spirits they encountered.
HELL-o-ween is our annual celebration - and locally owned stores and staff get into the spirit and dress to impress to ward off any cheeky devils.
HELL CEO Ben Cumming says HELL has celebrated Halloween since the beginning in 1996.
“Our founder Callum loves the Halloween theme and he started the tradition 26 years ago. It’s a great opportunity to have some fun and create something a bit different for our staff and customers, and give them some theatre that other food brands can’t deliver.
“There’s always a jar of lollies on the counter for trick or treaters on the 31st. While it takes some people by surprise, most of our customers look forward to seeing how their store celebrates what we think is the best day of the year,” says Ben Cumming.
HELL also runs an annual competition for best HELL-o-ween costumes and decorations, and HELL Support Office also gets in on the celebrations too:
